Our show is all new this year so come and check it out.   We will have a little surprise guest this year and a new Maypole to dance around.   Enjoy an enchanting tale with some fun dancing and singing.  We will look forward to seeing all of our old friends as well as some new ones this weekend at the DesMoines Reniassance Faire. 

That's right folks you heard right - Tib, the mischievous fun-loving pixie, is coming back for the first two days of the Des Moines Renaissance Faire! So be ready for her silly pranks and wonderful dancing because she's flying into the faire! Ready or not here she comes!

The good news is Tib's opera performances went well.  She will spend a day in Rome and than head home on Saturday.   We will be glad to have her home with us again and look forward to seeing her perform this fall in an opera at her conservatory.

The bad news is little Firemoon had four wisdom teeth removed today and is feeling very poorly.   We hope a visit from the tooth fairy will cheer her up.

Ciao Rennies!

As mia madre said I made it to Italia in one piece. Arezzo - the place I am staying at - is very cute. I have Italian class for three hours each morning then rehearsals/coaching/lessons in the afternoon. Last weekend Arezzo had their annual La Giostra aka joust - it was...wow! All the noble families dressed up to watch, there was flag tossing and of course jousting! Sadly my quarter (Arezzo is divided into four quarters) was the first to get pulled out. (tear) On our "field trips" I have gotten to see Firenze and Siena! In Siena, I got to see Saint Catherine's head and John the Baptist forearm which quite frankly was pretty gross, but interesting.  This weekend I will be headed to Pisa!

Tib

Tib has made her way across the sea and is now in Italy.  She toured Rome for a day and than was off to stay with the nuns close to were she will be singing in an opera this summer. She emailed us and told us all was well and that they had a great time seeing all the sites of Rome and made it to the bus that will take her to final distination.

We on the other hand, like so many in Iowa, are being washed away with all this rain.  It was so nice to enjoy a day of sunshine for a change.  Firemoon has traded in her wings for fins.  She will be competing on the swim team this summer as well as working at the tea house in town.  I on the other hand am back at school taking college courses.  I'm just about done with one class and will start my next one in July. I have also been enjoy a part time job at the quilt strore in town.   Of course our dear husband is busy trying to repair roads and checkup on the bridges in our county.  He has a major job to handle this summer so along with so many others we pray that the rains will pass us these next few days.
